Bio-Methane and regenerative methane are methane-containing gases, being natural gas substitutes. Apart from the de-centralised generation of electricity within the exchange of energy according to EEC, bio-methane - natural gas as bioCNG can supplement fuel. At the same time bio-methane is also a CO2-neutral basic component for bioSynfuels.
Producing biogas from renewable raw materials, from biogenic waste as well as from digested sludge and its treatment to obtain natural gas quality, is strongly supported by the BRM. This is carried out by placing a main focus on:

  • the establishment of biomass offices,
  • creating principles for setting up contracts for projects in connection with purchasing renewable raw materials,
  • the economic and technical support of plants for the bio-methane production.

Raw Materials:

Biogenic gases deriving from the fermenting process und thermo-chemical gasification of renewable raw materials and waste materials of biogenic origin, such as:

  • Digested sludge from sewage plants
  • Bio-gas
  • Gas from purification plants
  • Mine gas
  • Landfill gas
